I can't find any configuration setting to put in a tare weight for shipments. Boxes, packing material, etc. are not -0- in weight. If a customer orders several small items, each a fraction of a pound, the combined shipment weight of the items might be 0.75 pounds. Overnight shipping based on <1 pound would be X. But when the shipment is prepared, the total weight will be x+ the weight of the box & packing material and the shipping company will charge the rate for 2 pounds. The solution is to have a “tare weight” which is added to all shipments. This tare weight might be a fraction of a pound or so, but is critical for calculating freight on overnight shipments correctly.

Am I missing this in some config setting?

If not, can it be added?
