WigWag: Payments for South African Merchants

Setting Up WigWag for FoxyCart

To use WigWag in either Test or Production, you’ll need a WigWag Account.

Sign up for a WigWag Account.

Once your account is created you can use your Test Credentials with Foxy Test Mode while you configure your store and website.

You can find your WigWag Test Credentials by clicking through to the Account page on the WigWag dashboard.

Currently WigWag enables payments only in ZAR. To configure Foxy to ZAR:

  1. Open the Foxy Admin page
  2. Go to Template > Template Sets
  3. Select your Locale as English locale for South Africa (Currency: ZAR: R)

Production

To enable live payments on WigWag you will need to verify your account. Completing verification will take under 15 minutes and consists of sharing a few key documents with WigWag. This handy list shows what documents you’ll need to verify based on your business type.

Additionally, on your Foxy Admin page you will need to:

  1. Switch your Servers to Live
  2. Also disable the “Let customers pay with a Credit or Debit Card:” checkbox
  3. Copy your Live Credentials from your WigWag Dashboard
  4. On the Foxy Admin page scroll down to the WigWag Payment Gateway
  5. Paste the Live Credentials in the appropriate fields
  6. Click “Update Payment Details”
  7. You’re all set!
